George Morisada, the second son of Heiichi, worked in the soap factory
part-time since he was seven. When Heiichi died in 1948, George, then a
first-year student at the University of Hawaii, left school, as there was
no question about what would happen with the business. George took
over.

Young George plunged into the task , learning
the business and forging a reputation for hard work and increasing
expertise. By the late 50's came statehood, rising population and an
economic boom. The small family business was positioned to grow.
In the early '60s George began distributing synthetic detergents and
modern insecticides from national manufacturers. ABC also purchased
ingredients and blended them locally for commercial dispensing.

| New facilities were needed. In 1968,
a new
factory was built on Leowaena Street in Waipahu. In 1972, the office and
warehouse building were completed around the corner on Leonui Street. Both
have since been expanded and modernized.
George Morisada wanted to sell and service the best. ABC became
exclusive distributor for, among others, Varley RTU products. Butcher's

Attending the

develop ABC's own institutional and
industrial soaps, cleaners and disinfectants. He also became an
educational resource for his customers, training them in product usage and
safety.
By the 1980's, ABC Corporation was providing quality products and
expert service to hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and schools statewide. |
